Booking.com probably has the widest selection of budget accommodation in the world. From experience, the platform always finds the cheapest rooms. It also has a friendly interface and no-money-down policy.

Agoda has the best selection for guesthouses and hotels in Asia. It has the most robust inventory and offers the best rates. 

Hostelworld has the largest inventory for hostel-accommodation. It has got the most friendly search interface, highest availability and even a group chat for the hostel that you booked. It is a great way to meet people!

Trusted Housesitters is a platform that connects travellers with people in need of pet/house sitters . In exchange for looking after their pets or home, you’ll get access to free accommodation. It’s an amazing resource for long-term travellers looking to travel slow and on budget.

inDrive is similar to Uber but its awesome feature lets you and the driver negotiate a fair price. This app is more useful in certain countries than others.

Viator is the largest online platform for tours and excursions, with over 20 million monthly visitors. You’ll always find what you’re looking for, no matter where you go.
